I started dog walking and dog/pet/house sitting when I was in high school. I far preferred it to baby sitting. It started simply as helping out neighbors and family friends, but that grew when they started recommending me to their friends.
While teaching yoga has been my full time job since 2010, I continued to moonlight as a walker/sitter. One of my regular clients was a sweet rescue dog named George whom I visited once a week for 5 years in Basking Ridge, NJ right up until I moved to Hawaii in January 2020.
My golden retriever Kaia would often tag along during the walks. Unfortunately, she passed away in February of 2022, so I threw myself back into dog walking/sitting here on the island.
My current pup sort of fell into my lap, I brought Daisy home in October of 2023 and she is the sweetest ever. Beyond friendly and LOVES other dogs, so if you and your dog are comfortable, she can join us.

30 minute walk — $25
24 hr dog sitting — $100

details:

On a 30 minute walk, I’ll do what ever is best for your dog(s). It could be walking around the neighborhood, playing fetch in the yard, a 5 min walk to do business followed by 25 minutes of indoor playtime. You tell me! I am also happy to bring in mail/packages as needed and give your pup any food or medications needed.

During a 24 hr dog/pet sitting, I will stay at your home and take care of your fur/feathered/scaled babies. I will happily take your dog(s) outside 5 times a day, and give them lots of love and attention. I will give them food and treats as you instruct me to do. While in your home I will water any plants, and collect any mail/packages. If your pet has additional needs, just let me know. While you’re away I will keep in touch and send you a daily picture/check in.

There are no hidden or additional charges. If you have multiple pets, need medications administered, additional walks, just let me know.

I will never dog sit for two families at the same time, and I will never be gone from your house for more than 5 hours. That’s the beauty of being a yoga teacher, no 9-5!

Because I’m a single mom to a golden retriever, I now only dog sit for families with dogs that welcome her into their space. I won’t leave her in your house if I am not there.

I do still walk dogs that don’t want a new pup friend, I will leave Daisy at home.
